We're looking for replacements for our our in-game character avatar placeholder assets. If you're an artist and this is something you'd like to help us with, we'd love to see your work included in the game. You can see the placeholders attached below.
Start with Velma first.
Note: A submission isn't a guarantee we will use your art in the game. We may wait to select the best fit we receive. Also, if your art is selected, it's not a guarantee it will remain throughout the whole project. If your art is selected, we would like it if you'd remain available for future submissions so the style remains consistent.
Thank you for your help! We appreciate it.
Requirements:
Follow the submission instructions by posting your submissions on the forums or by direct messaging them to one of the Content Sherpa's.
Starting Avatar: Submit Velma first so we can get an idea of your art style and go from there. It can be a mockup or sketch if you prefer to see if we like it before you continue.
Quality: Your work must be equal or better than the source material. A style that's easy for other artists to reproduce is helpful so we can maintain the same aesthetic.
Uniqueness: You're welcome to submit content you produced or used elsewhere.
Style: We prefer the characters maintain their distinctive looks. They were picked to match the personality of the characters. Although you can experiment with their looks if you'd like. Also, you can do full body drawing if you want, but we ask that the heads be posed in a way that works for an avatar. Also, we prefer similar plain backgrounds. A separate layer for the background would be nice.
Resolution and Color Depth: Use a resolution and color depth that you think is appropriate for your art.
File Format: Please submit your art in the best format for how you produced it.
File Options: We prefer you use the version of a format that's compatible with older versions of the software that created it. For example, in Photoshop, please use the "Maximize Compatibility" option that's available in the preferences if saving your file doesn't automatically prompt you. That way it will still work for those who don't want to use the "subscription" based versions.
