We're looking for replacements for the placeholder portions of our intro video. You can see screenshots of the sections that need replaced along with a copy of the entire video attached below. They are small glimpses of the memory fragments of an Echo so the player can get a glimpse into what may have either been past experiences or a past life.

To create the scenes for the video, various assets are required. They can be different types of assets depending on the preference of the artist. For example, the screenshot video_ship1_50sec.png shows a ship in space. That ship can either be a full 3d model or it can be a 2d drawing that's moved slowly to the left of background art to give the appearance of it being 3d and having movement.

Attention to detail on the screenshot video_echo1_48sec.png is more important. It might be used for the the game's cover art. If the other sections of the video are done and we still don't have a character artist, we will consider using metahuman or 3rd party assets. If you know of another placeholder asset that we can use which would fit this spot in the video, please let us know.

Note: A submission doesn't guarantee we will use your contributions in the game. We will select the best content we receive. Also, if your content is selected, it's not a guarantee it will remain throughout the whole project.

Requirements:

Follow the submission instructions by posting your submissions on the forums or by direct messaging them to one of the Content Sherpa's.

Quality: Your work must be equal or better than the source material.

Style: You're welcome to try different styles or even completely new scenes if you think it will fit within that portion of the video. We are going for a dark and dystopian scifi feel. The sections that need replaced are a series of quickly changing scenes that narrate the story visually.

Uniqueness: You're welcome to submit content you produced or used elsewhere.

Format: Please submit your your assets in the best format for how you produced it. If it's a video, please submit it in 1080p at 29.97 or 30 fps. If you used video editing software, the project files would be helpful. We tend to gravitate towards open source software like Kdenlive when we can, but we understand the features are often limited. If you submit 3d assets or map files, the assets you used to create the video would be useful, but we understand if you want to just supply a video by itself. For example, you may not want or be able to give us all the assets you used to create your video due to licenses or personal preference.

Length: You're welcome to submit improvised versions, but they should be the same length or longer. Longer is better since this allows us to grab different parts of the video, make the scene longer, or change the playback speed.
